Head Chair

Anitra Coelho

Anitra Coelho

Hello delegates!

My name is Anitra Coelho and I am honoured to be serving as the President for the Economic and Social Council for TIANMUN XIII. I am currently a Year 11 student attending Dulwich College Beijing, and this iteration of TIANMUN marks my 16th conference and 9th as a chair. From the moment my MUN journey began, it has been an incredibly memorable experience filled with increasing amounts of debate, dialogue and diplomacy.

Model UN holds a special place in my heart for a variety of reasons, but especially because it unifies countries and delegates under one common goal- to foster a better future for every citizen of the world, which is what I hope each and every one of you will keep in mind throughout our committee sessions. I would like to encourage all of you, regardless of your experience in MUN to leverage this experience to the best of your ability, and to truly use ECOSOC as a forum to engage in valuable discourse that can help make a tangible impact in the world.

Please feel free to reach out to me with any questions you have, and looking forward to seeing all of you in November!

Deputy Chair

JaeHyunCha

JaeHyun Cha

Greetings,

My name is JaeHyun Cha, and I am currently a sophomore attending Tianjin International School. It is my distinct honor to serve as the Deputy Chair of the Economic and Social Council in this year’s TIANMUN conference.

Model United Nations is a unique platform allowing students to express their passions in public speaking, debating, and solving global issues. Throughout my MUN journey, it transformed me from an inexperienced delegate hesitating to raise his placard to an ardent delegate confidently expressing his opinions.

Having experienced the transformative power that MUN holds, I strongly encourage all delegates to actively participate in the sessions to develop their public speaking, debating, and problem-solving skills. Remember, MUN is a place for cooperation and negotiation, not a competition for awards.

As your deputy chair, I will put forth my best effort to create a comfortable environment where all ideas can be heard and valued.

See you soon.
