MinChae (Kaylyn) Kim

Welcome, delegates to TIANMUN XIII!

My name is Kaylyn Kim, and I am a junior at Chengdu International School (CDIS). I am honored to serve as your ENV Head Chair for this conference.

To tell you a bit about myself, when I first started MUN in 6th grade, I was terrified of speaking in front of others. Yet, even as I gained more experience, MUN always felt like jumping into an ice bath—vulnerable, unnerving, and definitely out of my comfort zone. But just like how an ice bath becomes bearable (and even enjoyable) over time, I hope you will come to see MUN as something you can be passionate, driven, and excited about.

As your Head Chair, I’m thrilled to share my enthusiasm for MUN with all of you.

Remember that the memories we make, the friendships we forge, and the photos we take will last far beyond this conference. So, let’s make TIANMUN XIII an unforgettable experience!

Esther Hale

Esteemed delegates, fellow chairs, guests and others, my name is Esther Hale, and I am currently a senior attending Chengdu International School in Chengdu, Sichuan and I’m honored to serve as a Deputy Chair in the Environment Commission for this year’s TianMUN conference. This will be my second time as a chair in TianMUN, and although last year I was in General Assembly, the Environment Commission is probably my favorite committee, as I feel people tend to underestimate how imperative environmental issues are. I’m so excited to see you in my favorite committee, and I hope everyone will get to walk away from this conference with fond memories and new friends.

Can’t wait to see you in person!

Crystal (JeongSu) Lee

Hello delegates!

My name is Crystal Lee, a senior attending Qingdao Daewon School. It is a great honor to serve as the Deputy Chair of the Environment Commission at TIANMUN XIII.

I still remember how nervous I was during my first MUN conference. I was hesitant to make speeches and worried about making mistakes. But with time, I’ve learned that every speech, POI, and amendment, no matter how small, can make a real difference in building your confidence. Therefore, I encourage all of you to step up and share your insights. Your ideas matter.

Looking forward to a fruitful debate. See you soon!
