Security Council (Head Chair)- Jackel Cheung

Esteemed directors, student officers, delegates, and guests, I am Jackel Cheung and it is my upmost honor to serve as President of the Security Council of TIANMUN 2017. My MUN career began with hesitation and insecurities but after serving as delegate and student officer and in the secretariat for the past years I have had the pleasure in approaching MUN in various perspectives. To me, MUN conferences are a commitment to excellence and professionalism in addition to fostering life long friendships between delegates. It is no secret that MUN has been the basis of developing public speaking and research skills but at the same time it carries the belief in the virtues of multilateralism that are imperative in todays world of diplomacy. As the President of the Security Council, I will be devoted to providing an intellectual atmosphere in the council. I look forward to seeing what you have to bring to TIANMUN 2017 and hope you enjoy a rewarding experience.
