Disarmament Committee (Deputy Chair) – Ah Song Cho

Hello! ✋

My name is Ah Song Cho, currently a junior attending Tianjin International School. It is a great honor to serve as one of the deputy presidents in the Disarmament Committee for TIANMUN 2017. Although speaking in front of people makes many of you shy, I encourage you to challenge yourself by taking courage to make speeches and amendments at necessary times. You might make some mistakes in the beginning, but don’t let those small errors intimidate you throughout the whole conference. Here’s a short quote from Colin Powell that I want to share with you.

“There are no secrets to success. It is the result of preparation, hard work, and learning from failure.”

Recognize your mistakes and learn from them; let your errors build you up and motivate you to prepare for better speeches. In hoping for the success of this year’s TIANMUN conference, I encourage all delegates to participate during debate hours in order to improve both as a speaker and as an individual.
