Hello Delegates!

My name is Stephanie Dan, a junior at Concordia International School Shanghai and it is my upmost honor to serve as your President for the European Union at TIANMUN 2019. Through MUN, I’ve received many opportunities to enhance my public speaking skills and confidence. However, back when I first began my MUN journey, approaching the podium in it of itself was a challenge. I couldn’t speak without turning red, and I rejected all POIs for fear of being interrogated by more experienced delegates. Despite all this, I focused on making the most out of my MUN experiences by actively raising my placard and observing more experienced delegates.

Delegates don’t be afraid of making mistakes, and take the initiative actively participate in debates. I hope you all can make the most out of this conference, and I look forward to seeing you in October!

Hi, delegates!

This is Daniel Park, attending the International School of Qingdao as a sophomore. It is my privilege to serve as the Deputy Chair of the European Union at TIANMUN VII.

I understand that for some delegates TIANMUN VII might not be their first conference, but for other delegates, TIANMUN VII could be their first MUN conference. I still remember my first speech and the first point of information that I made for my MUN career. I was unable to say anything, however, this allowed me to improve a lot. I encourage all delegates to be brave while making speeches and points of information. If you have any questions during the debate, feel free to ask them.

Let’s make this conference memorable! Try new things! I am looking forward to seeing creative ideas on resolutions!
